Kim started her educational journey almost 30 years ago (hard to believe she’s that old!) at Brigham Young University where she studied molecular microbiology and human biology. She continued school at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where she earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing and then continued to receive her Master and is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

For almost 20 years Kim worked as an emergency room nurse and nurse practitioner. During those years Kim always had a passion for wellness, nutrition, and natural medicine. In 2013 Kim started her own wellness business, Zenestar. She has continued her education in anti-aging and functional medicine and is certified as a functional medicine practitioner. She has advanced training in medical aesthetics and for the last six years has served as medical director of a successful aesthetics practice.

A native of Las Vegas, Kim grew up chasing lizards and building forts in the desert. She is the mom of two awesome young men and the wife of the best and most supportive husband a woman can find. She is also the keeper of many cute and not so cute animals.

Kim is a self-proclaimed nerd, has a true passion for life, and enjoys almost everything. Her favorite activities are gardening (she wishes to be a farmer one day), traveling the world, cooking and eating, spending time with family and friends, reading and self-educating. She has spent many hours volunteering in her children’s school garden and has been an environmental and social activist for many years, serving two years as the co-chair of the Nevada Green Party.

Some of her favorite accomplishments are running the Las Vegas Marathon (4:13), and the Huntington to San Diego Ragnar race (3rd place for gender/age group), competing in two body building figure competitions, becoming a Master Gardener, and of course, creating Zenestar!
