There are different peels within the VI Peel brand to address specific skin conditions and needs. For example, the VI Peel Precision Plus is the essential peel for skin discoloration. This peel is specifically developed for pigmentation concerns including UV induced pigmentation, sun damage, post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and melasma. It will even overall skin tone and texture while brightening and renewing areas of discoloration. The Precision Plus booster is added to the peel formulation to create the ultimate treatment choice for optimal dramatic results. The VI peel Purify targets acne and acne scarring.

The best time to do a peel is when you have a few days to peel and you can stay out of the sun for a couple weeks. Peeling usually occurs starting about day 2-3 and last 2-3 days. However, some people do not peel. Those people still see the benefit of the peel. For most people who have the weekend off we will advise to do the peel on a Wednesday then by Friday you will start to peel, peel the worst over Saturday and Sunday and then maybe just have a little flakiness on Monday. This is just an example and can be adjusted to your schedule. It is also nice to get a peel in the fall or winter when the sun and heat are not as intense, you don’t plan on laying out at the pool or going on long outdoor adventures.

The number of peels you will need will depend on condition you are treating. Our esthetician will evaluate your skin and give you a full plan. Post treatment, clients receive a 7-day post peel take home kit, ensuring optimal and long-term results.

There are a few contraindications to getting a VI peel including pregnancy; a aspirin, phenol or hydroquinone allergy; use of Accutane within 6 months; open wounds, infection, active herpes infection; on chemotherapy; autoimmune conditions, or liver disease that would weaken the immune system.
